PLEASE WE NEED YOUR HELP
Ebony is a 6 month old puppy, picked up as a stray and put in a pound at just 4 months old, Ebony then came to Lurcher SOS. Ebony has developed rapidly growing lumps on her paws. With the lumps continuing to grow, despite medication, Ebony was uncomfortable and having difficulty walking. Several biopsies have been taken in order to try to find the cause. Ebony’s vet bill is currently just under £500, she may require more tests and will require treatment once the cause of her growths is found so the bill will get bigger. As a small rescue bills of this size can quickly use all available funds. Please help us cover Ebonys bill, ensure she gets all the tests and treatment she needs and be able to continue helping sighthounds on death row. Thank you.
As of Tuesday February 9th donations of £160 have been made. Massive thanks to all of you. But we still need more help – please help us with this vet bill. Ebony had to go back to the vet today as her stitches had come loose and she has also grown 2 more lumps We ar hoping for the results on the biopsy this week. See the link below for the YouCaring Page where you can donate with safety.
Now in our 6th successful year, Lurcher SOS was started in 2010 by two lifelong lurcher owners. Lurcher SOS is a Surrey based Lurcher, Greyhound and Sighthound Rescue. We have a network of supporters, fundraisers and foster homes in Kent, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, but we home our dogs throughout England, Wales and Scotland.
We are all volunteers and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and home abused, abandoned and neglected Lurchers, Greyhounds and Sighthounds worldwide. Most of our hounds come from Ireland and the UK, but we are proud to have helped Spanish, Cypriot and even Romanian and Egyptian Sighthounds!
We are a non-profit organization and receive no funding. We rely solely on donations from the public and are always in need of fundraising support to cover the cost of the care of our dogs.
