Did you know that you can help raise funds to help us save lives by collecting used stamps? Simply cut them from the envelope leaving 5-10mm around them and post to:
PO Box 6107
Stamps that are from places like Jersey, Guernsey, I.O.M and Alderney etc, are regarded as foreign, so will need to be kept with all other foreign stamps and separate from GB stamps.
Thanks to Citadel Stamps.

Shop Online with easyfundraising.org.uk
Easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online. It works in asimilar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for your cause instead.
Once you join easyfundraising.org.uk you can go to their ‘find a cause’ page and support Lurcher SOS. Each time you shop online with one of their listed retailers, you raise a donation for us. It’s as easy as that.

Fostering is a a very important role. Together with fundraising, it forms the backbone of the rescue. If you feel you would like to be directly involved in helping a hound, do consider fostering. Lurcher SOS Rescue is currently looking for kind, reliable fosterers to care for the hounds we rescue. Fostering involves caring for a dog in your own home until a permanent home is found. Fostering is ideal for those who wish to help a dog to be properly assessed in a home environment but cannot commit long term.
We rely on our foster carers to prepare our dogs for life as a loved family pet. Many of these dogs have never been loved, had a warm bed to sleep on or a toy to play with. They often need time and patience to finally relax and enjoy the kind of life that every hound should have, and seeing them blossom is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world.
During their time in foster care all dogs, if not previously done, will be wormed, microchipped, neutered (if the bitch is not in season or already neutered) and vaccinated. Lurcher SOS will cover the cost of all of this and any vet bills incurred whilst in your care. We cannot guarantee any of our dogs will be housetrained when they arrive with you as many will have never lived in a home, and some of them will have had little or no human contact or love. But be assured that, during your time as a foster carer, we are always available to give you advice and support and answer any questions you may have.
If you are living in London or Southern England and would like to be considered as a foster carer, please fill in and submit the the Fostering Application on the next page.
Foster applications will be subject to a home check. All fosterers must have fully secure gardens and the fence and any gate height must be 6 feet or over unless you are going to foster a puppy, in which case fences/gates can be 5 feet.
You can help us to raise funds by taking part in an event such as one of our online auctions on our friendly forum and/our Facebook page; joining in one of our street collections, holding a boot fair, coffee morning or sponsored event or even by making collars, coats etc.
Help us approve potential homes for our hounds. No experience is necessary as full advice and support will be given. Home checkers are desperately needed throughout the UK. Dogs may have found a possible permanent home through their details being advertised on here or on Facebook, but can go nowhere until a home check has been carried out and paperwork completed. Without these volunteers, dogs will linger in longer in foster unnecessarily, taking up valuable foser space for other dogs needing to come into Rescue.
We are always in need of people willing to help transport dogs into rescue from a pound in a different part of the country; collecting a dog who has perhaps just arrived in to the country; into a foster home or even taking a dog for veterinary treatment in the case of an emergency.
Donation of Goods
We always need donations of items for raffles and auctions. So if you have any unwanted items why not contact us.
We often have articles for sale on eBay. All sale proceeds go to help the Lurchers, Greyhounds and other sighthounds in our care.
Best of all, you could offer one of our dogs a forever home.
