There is an emergency situation in Spain just now.  Many Galgo and Podencos, which are like lurchers are going to die on Friday if they cannot be found spaces in a rescue.  Much depends also on money for medical care.  Many of these dogs are emaciated, some not fed for weeks.

Please please dig deep to help them.  Lurcher SOS hope to be taking 5 of these beautiful gentle dogs when they are well enough to travel to the UK.....

We need help a gipsy owning 64 galgo and podenco all will be killed next week if we Galgos del sol and other rescues can,t help them
Our shelter is up to bursting point but we can move dogs around and take two more in
A order has been put on these dogs to be removed or killed it won,t be a nice quiet vet job iIt will be in the garden slaughter
please if there is anything you can do to help donations fund raisers knowing how the ggypies keep their dogs they will all be in a bad state huge vet bills
We wil have photos later today one rescue has come forewards to take 25 we can take two we need to find places for the rest to go to

we all dread the end of January the end of the hunting season here all ready there are lots of galgos in the killing stations with no hope of getting out
every day it makes me want to cry
I look at my Roxy and my foster girl thinking you two are so so lucky
