We Are Always Looking For Forever Homes For Our Dogs - Do Contact Us If You Would Like To Offer A Home To A Lurcher SOS Hound.

Our Rehoming Policy
And
Some Things To Know
* All potential homes will be subject to a home check.
* All your current dogs must be fully vaccinated and vaccination certificates will need to be produced at your homecheck.
* We do not home any of our dogs to working (hunting) homes.
* Our dogs will only be placed in homes where they will live inside as part of the family. We will not home where dogs are to be kenneled outside.
* Adult dogs must not be left for longer than 4 hours at a time although some dogs may only be left for shorter times. Puppies must not be left for any longer than 2 hours at a time.
* To be considered to adopt one of our hounds, your garden must be fully secure, fenced to 6 foot in height and totally escape-proof. Please do not apply if your fencing is less than 6 feet high unless you are fully prepared to raise it to 6 feet or more.
* We do not home our dogs to families with children under the age of 6 years.
* All our dogs are vet checked, neutered (or in some cases, adopters will be asked to sign a neutering agreement), vaccinated and microchipped, flea treated and wormed before going to their new home. Therefore, we do ask for a minimum adoption donation of £175 which helps towards, but doesn't cover, the costs of neutering, vaccinating, microchipping, worming and defleaing
and general care of the hound until it's forever home is found.
* It is a good idea to carry out some research on Lurchers or Greyhounds before you consider adoption. There are many good informative sites on the internet and many excellent books available on Lurchers and other sighthounds.
* Once you have adopted a Lurcher SOS rescue hound, you are not on your own. We are only a phone call away to help with any questions you may have about your new dog.
* You do not have to live in Southern England to adopt a Lurcher SOS dog. We have homed dogs in Lincolnshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Wales, Nottinghamshire and many other counties. We do ask that you are prepared to travel to meet the dog of your choice in their foster home though.
