Dogs Needing Sponsoring
Grace is a 7 year old Greyhound who came to us in June 2013 after her owner died. Grace suffers with painful corns on her feet and needs ongoing treatment to keep her as comfortable as possible. She is a happy, funny girl who is very loved in her permanent foster home.
Roisin is a 5 year old Lurcher who came to us in Jan 2012. Roisin has problems with her back legs which makes her prone to collapse on occasion. Roisin is also very nervous of the outside world but feels safe in her foster home when she is relaxed and loved, The decision was made to keep her in her foster home where she will live out her life calm and content and her legs can be monitored and treated.
Dara came to Lurcher SOS a year ago. He was picked up straying in Ireland and took some time to catch because he is rather timid. Dara is a lovely dog. Dara is a shy boy and we feel the best thing for him is to stay put in foster with the people he trusts in the only loving home he’s ever known. He also has some issues with his tummy meaning a special diet for life.
Welcome home Dara, happily ever after at last little man.
Dara will remain a sponsor dog to help with his insurance, medical bills and special diet.
Lottie is a delicate girl, only weighing 22 kilos. She was found nearly a year ago, straying. She had old injuries that had healed badly and that were giving her pain.
It’s been a difficult 10 months for Lottie. She was in pain with 2 legs and so had to endure 2 operations, one to remove a broken toe on a back leg, one to fuse the wrist of a front leg. Mammary tumours also grew. These were removed and found to be benign. After 4 months of recovery, Lottie has been pronounced fit and well by her orthopaedic surgeon, but may need further treatment in the future, so she will remain a sponsor dog to help with any further medical bills and her food and insurance.
Sponsorship costs only £25 – when you donate through our Donate button, please state what it is for and which dog. Please always remember to submit this form too!
If you prefer to pay by cheque, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will give you the address to send it to.
