Finn – Wow
If you’re potty about rough coats and have a lot of love to give then Finn could be the one.
Finn has had a traumatic start to his young life and has clearly been abused. He is only 2 years old. We have been taking it slowly, building his confidence and helping to heal his troubled soul and he has come such a long way.
Finn has been in a very experienced foster home since just before Christmas 2018. They have given him space, understanding and time which has gone some way into helping Finn overcome some of his fears. He has learnt how it feels to be loved and really that is all this boy wants – just to be loved. To those he trusts he is affectionate, loving and playful. It is lovely seeing glimpses of the puppy he never got to be.
Even though he is daunted when meeting new people, as long as he is given a bit of time (and maybe a few cocktail sausages thrown in for good measure), he can trust. Gaining this boys trust is so very special.
He travels really well in the car and he loves his food, walks and toys.
He is strong on the lead and would benefit from some training in this area. His play is typical boisterous lurcher play. He is much better with bitches.
He can be very freaked out by traffic so needs a home who will not take him near busy roads and who will build his confidence up slowly. Somewhere rural would be ideal for this boy.
No cats and no children for this lovely young boy.
Finn could live with another dog – a calm and confident female dog would be best. Alternatively, if homed as an only dog, he would need his humans home most of the time, or at least humans that will work on his being left on his own.
We feel so sad for our darling boy Finn as he has been waiting for so long for that special someone to come along. It seems so unfair he has had such a cruel start in life and because of the mental scars he bears, he is often overlooked. We hope that one day soon someone will be able to see past his troubles and give him the home he so deserves.
Finn is in foster in Surrey.
