Foster Mom Update....
Blizzy is a gentle, loving Lurcher that needs to build up her confidence and trust. She is clean during the day once you have shown and stayed with her a few times. Sometimes an early morning accident if she can’t get out. She has fantastic recall for a sighthound if there is a reward(unless a rabbit or squirrel calls it will definitely take a lot longer) Walks well on a lead. She is definitely more relaxed with another sighthound to show her the ropes and play with. We have left her up to 1 :1/2 hrs and she was fine as long as she’s with another sighthound. Totally alone and she panics. Once she finds your sofa and is gentle guided she’s the perfect addition to your family.
Another Update on Blizzard (Izzy)
I’m still astounded at her recall skills, she loves exploring but the minute you call her, she comes bounding back so happy to see you and hopefully get a treat. She loves saying hello to all the dogs in the park , big & small, but is totally submissive if they don’t want to know. You can take her anywhere and know she’d love it .
She didn’t fancy going out in the stormy weather yesterday and was quite content to be a couch potato all day. She loves her food and will counter surf, but listens when told to get down, but lays there and gives you the sad eye look.
She’s clean and will pace to let you know she needs to go out. Still put puppy pads down at night just in case, if she does need to go will always use them . When we tell her to go to bed, she jumps on the sofa and lays down .
She’s just a cheeky, clumsy, very loving oaf .💕
She is a gorgeous and sweet girl, who is looking for someone to dote upon.
Friendly with all her foster fur-siblings, and people too.
Blizzard needs her people to be home most of the time as she really struggles with being left on her own. She will need someone who can build up her confidence very slowly, with being left.
She is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
Not cat friendly.
