Jackie

We’re delighted to be able to help find a home for P Jackie who is currently in foster in Austria. Jackie was found on the streets of Oman with her two newborn pups and rescued by Muscat Dog Adoption. She spent eight months with a foster family in Muscat and moved with them to Austria last summer. Sadly, her planned adoption didn’t work out – could you offer Jackie permanent home?

With the help of a trainer Jackie has grown in confidence since she was rescued in Muscat. She loves walks in the woods, fields and town. She’s used to cars and trains, though close or noisy bikes and scooters can still be a little scary. Meeting dogs on the lead can worry Jackie, so she’ll need ongoing training. She enjoys playing with dogs she knows but can be bossy with other females.

Jackie loves people, including children, but a home without small children would suit her best. She welcomes visitors, has lovely house manners, doesn’t beg, sleeps through the night and can be left for a few hours. She also travels well in the car.

She’s affectionate but independent — always up for belly rubs and a cuddle, then happy to have her own space.

With careful introductions she may be able to live with a cat, and if she shares her new home with another dog, a confident male would be the best fit.

IMPORTANT: Jackie is NOT in the care of Lurcher SOS. If you think Jackie could be your new best friend, please contact: Christine Widener, tine.wiedner@googlemail.com
